Halo - Leg preview by Hyokenseisou-Cosplay Halo - Leg preview by Hyokenseisou-Cosplay
Got a thigh and a shin done, just need to do the strapping on those pieces, but here's me trying them on to see what it'll all look like together, roughly. (Knee pieces aren't done, but just held them in pic to give better idea)

Scrap later.

The most frustrating part about the knee pads for was that they weren't technically attached to anything if you've observed in the game (cuz i have no time on my hands, jk :P). But this, THIS looks like its coming out awesome! I can't wait to see the finished product! :D

Actually.... they ARE attached to the shin piece, but since I'm a bit bow-legged, that just won't do.

Thanks!

It's out of paper, resin, interfacing material, and bondo.

It's a method called pepakura. You make a 3D image of what you want with a program, break it down into a 2D scale, scale it to your body size, print it, cut out the pieces, glue all the pieces back together according to the numbers, resin, fiberglass the inside (in this case I use interfacing material instead, cheaper, just as strong), bondo the outside to smooth it, sand it, then paint it.

Awesome I have always wanted to try to make some type of armor. I might give it a shot when I get the right material to use. Thank You very much to the explanation :D

spoiler alert, it's hard as HEEEEELLLL

I've tried it before and you have to be REALLY commited, and good with paper folding.

just be forewarned.
